Nikaido is the owner and chef of the Hungry Bug, a restaurant in Hole where Caiman spends most of his time eating gyoza. She found Caiman after his initial transformation and works with him to hunt down Sorcerers who enter Hole, hoping to kill the one who cast the spell on him and nullify it. Nikaido is secretly a Sorcerer herself, living in hiding due to the desirability of her magic type. She maintains contact with a devil from her past, named Asu, who is later revealed to have once been her adoptive elder brother. Despite not using magic in combat, Nikaido is an incredibly skilled fighter, typically utilising hand-to-hand combat and acrobatics to disable foes. She also cuts off Ebisu's fingers to prevent her from using magic during their encounter.

In Their Own Story

The air in the Hungry Bug smelled of frying gyoza and steam. Nikaido wiped her hands on her apron, watching Caiman devour another plate. She had found him like this—reptilian head, no memories—and made it her mission to help him hunt the sorcerer who cursed him. When Ebisu appeared in Hole, Nikaido didn't hesitate: she cut off the girl's fingers to stop her magic, then held her as Caiman bit down. But a frantic Fujita pulled Ebisu through a door, tearing her face off in the process. Later, Nikaido would reveal her own secret—she was a sorcerer too, hiding her power, and she still kept contact with Asu, a devil who was once her adoptive brother.
